We deliver fresh-cut lawn turf and screened topsoil right across South Shields and South Tyneside, covering the NE32–NE34 postcodes. It's about a 35-minute run from the yard in Newcastle, which means short notice often possible delivery on most orders and turf that's still cool when it reaches you.

Turf is cut to order rather than kept in stock, so it goes down the same day it comes off the field and roots away quickly. One roll covers a square metre. If you're laying it yourself we'll drop it as close to the garden as the access allows; if you'd rather we did the lot, the laying service covers lifting the old lawn, prepping the ground and laying the new turf.

Ordering and access

Turf is heavy - a roll is roughly 20kg wet, so a 60 m² lawn is well over a tonne. Tell us where you want it and how the access looks and we'll get it as close to the garden as we safely can. Deliveries in South Shields are short notice often possible in most cases; order the day before where you can, and have somewhere shaded ready to stack it.

Lay it the day it arrives if at all possible. Turf left rolled up for more than a day or two in warm weather will start to yellow, and it never fully recovers.
